Trying to keep up with the trends can be exhausting, expensive and incredibly wasteful. Just because something is trending, doesn't mean you have to purchase it new. Here are some of my favorite trends for spring that you can easily buy secondhand.
Basics
Button down tops, trousers, and classic layering pieces are always in abundance at the thrift store. Check the mens and kids sections for even more variety!
Romantic Dressing
Look for floral prints and lace dresses , big collars to fit this trend.
Y2K
Y2K is a stylistic trend covering the late '90s and early-to-mid 2000s styles. AKA all the things people cleaned out of their closet and donated to the thrift store because they thought it was out of style. Head to Depop to shop this one.
Mini Skirts and Dresses
Thrift store prices are so affordable, it leaves room in the budget for custom alterations to update a piece and make it fit just right. In this case, any dress or skirt can be tailored to be mini or ultra mini if that's your thing!
Loafers
Loafers are a timeless fashion piece that everyone has had in their closet. Because they are so popular, they are usually pretty easy to find in a secondhand shop.
Bold Bright Colors
Head to the thrift with a color palette in mind and scan racks for those bright colors that catch your eye! It's a really easy way to shop a thrift store without having to dig or feel too overwhelmed.
Happy Thrifting!!
